Community partner

As we look forward to the opportunity to serve the San Francisco community during our annual conference, we are excited to highlight the SF LGBT Center as our Community Partner!
About the SF LGBT Center
The SF LGBT Center is not just the bright purple building that catches your eye at 1800 Market Street, it is a focal point for the LGBT community of San Francisco, where individuals who need resources, support, or a safe space to gather can find comfort and celebration.
The mission of the SF LGBT Center is to connect the diverse SF community to opportunities, resources, and each other to achieve their vision of a stronger, healthier, and more equitable world for LGBT people and their allies.
The Center works to strengthen the SF community by:
- fostering greater opportunities for people to thrive.
- offering aid in organizing for our future.
- celebrating our history and culture.
- building resources to create a legacy for future generations.

Opportunities to Engage
Aligning with the Center’s priorities, as orientation, transition, and retention professionals, we work to create a sense of belonging for all students and their supporters. We know when students feel a sense of belonging and connection, they are more likely to persist and earn a college degree. We hope through this partnership with the Center, you are able to take away knowledge and experiences that will help you craft intentional programs and opportunities for the students at your institution, while serving the San Francisco community!
Here’s how you can learn from and engage with the Center throughout the conference:
- Service Project: Join NODA in purchasing and assembling hygiene kits to support the SF community. Purchase kits in the NODA Store and assemble them during the Annual Conference!
- LGBTQIA+ Coffee Hour: Join NODA’s LGBTQIA+ Community and the Center for a coffee hour!
- Educational Session: Learn from and connect with the Center during their educational session!
More details about these opportunities will be available in the conference app in October!
